The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the next stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, informing applicants that its official recruitment portal will become accessible from June 15, 2026.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Board said applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) can visit the recruitment portal to check their status and obtain further instructions regarding the recruitment process.

"The Board's official recruitment portal will go live on 15th June, 2026," the statement said, directing candidates to access the platform for updates on the screening process.

CDCFIB, however, clarified that applicants who applied for positions within the Board's Secretariat are not included in the current phase of the exercise.

According to the Board, "applicants who applied for positions within the CDCFIB Board/Secretariat are excluded from this stage of the recruitment process. The portal activation and physical screening exercise do not apply to Board position applicants."

The Board explained that shortlisted candidates for Secretariat positions will instead be contacted directly for interviews. Details regarding interview dates, venues and other requirements will be announced later through official CDCFIB communication channels.

The agency also urged members of the public to be vigilant against fraudsters seeking to exploit applicants.

"The entire recruitment process remains completely FREE," the Board stated.

Applicants were advised to ignore fake recruitment links, misleading messages and individuals demanding payment in exchange for assistance or preferential treatment.

The Board stressed that all recruitment-related information would be communicated only through its approved channels and urged candidates to rely solely on official updates.

The statement was signed by Mrs Okeh Juliet, Head of Press, for the Secretary to the Board, on June 15, 2026.
